Hattingen - a lovely city to hike to linger
Hattingen lies on the edge of important cities in the Metropole Ruhr. The geographical location of the town therefore offers many scenic hiking trails in its surrounding area. Rising from the valley of the Ruhr to the south, Elfringhauser Schweiz is criss-crossed by well-marked hiking trails all the way to the borders of Niederbergische. Locals as well as guests from the surrounding cities seek and find recreation in the varied landscape between forests, meadows and fields.

Hinweise zum Parken
At the weekend and on nice days, many people are drawn to the Hattinger Hüggelland. We are happy about this. Please note that the number of parking spaces is limited. Please do not park on farm or farmyard roads otherwise you will block the passage of the farmers who are also on the road there at weekends with their wide agricultural vehicles. Please respect private property and use the designated parking spaces.
